Lathe programmer-operator — Neosho County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a lathe programmer-operator in Neosho County, Kansas. You will be based on the CNC turning shop floor. Requirements: • ITI / NCVT certificate in the machinist (turner) trade preferred • Confident with micrometers, vernier calipers and bore gauges • Able to hold tolerances to ±0.01 mm The role involves: • Measure finished parts with micrometers and vernier calipers • Watch the machine through the cycle and clear alarms or crashes • Write and edit G-code programs at the control • Adjust feeds and speeds to control the surface finish • Load and index turning tools in the turret • Change worn carbide inserts and monitor tool wear Full-time with occasional weekends. $3,400 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
