Urgent requirement: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Glasgow City, Scotland. The job is in the melting bay of a steel foundry. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection The role involves: • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture £2,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
