Join our team: we are hiring a groundskeeper in Shelby County, Ohio. You will work in a public park. Day-to-day duties: • Maintain compost heaps and the potting shed • Dig over and turn the soil and prepare seedbeds • Sharpen, clean and oil hand tools and mower blades • Cut back tree branches and clear overhanging limbs • Spray pesticides and fungicides to control pests and disease • Check and adjust sprinkler timers and irrigation heads Requirements: • Understanding of pruning and watering schedules • Physically fit for bending, lifting and long hours outdoors • Good knowledge of common plants, shrubs and seasonal planting Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
