Great opportunity: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in Ripley County, Indiana. You will be based on a busy residential building site. Requirements: • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling The role involves lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors; assemble column and beam cages on the bench; cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder; bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine; set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift. Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Pay around $3,300 per month, based on your experience.
