Ladle pourer • Rains County, Texas

We are recruiting: we are hiring a ladle pourer in Rains County, Texas. The job is in the melting bay of a steel foundry. The role involves: • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles Requirements: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor Rotating shifts.
