Excavator operator — Currituck County

Immediate opening: we are hiring an excavator operator in Currituck County, North Carolina. You will be based on a pipeline and trenching crew. Your main tasks: • Track the machine on and off low-loaders for transport • Inspect tracks, bucket teeth and pins for wear before start-up • Backfill trenches and compact the fill in layers • Load spoil into tippers and dumpers cleanly without spillage • Strip and stockpile topsoil ready for reuse • Grade, level and batter slopes to the required gradient What we are looking for: • Good awareness of underground services and exclusion zones • Confident working to fine grade and tight tolerances • Valid CPCS/NPORS card or local heavy-equipment licence We offer $20 per hour plus benefits. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
