Now hiring: shakeout operator (Kansas)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Gove County, Kansas. What we are looking for: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings Day-to-day duties: • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. $4,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
