Turning centre operator — Bristol County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a turning centre operator in Bristol County, Rhode Island. You will be based in a job-work machining unit. Day to day you will load and index turning tools in the turret; change worn carbide inserts and monitor tool wear; set tool offsets and establish work zero (G54); write and edit G-code programs at the control; deburr and chamfer machined parts by hand. What we are looking for: • Experience with carbide tooling and insert selection • Willing to work rotating day and night shifts • ITI / NCVT certificate in the machinist (turner) trade preferred At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
