Reinforcement steel fixer wanted in Quitman County

Now hiring: we are hiring a reinforcement steel fixer in Quitman County, Mississippi. You will be based on a civil engineering bridge and roads site. You should have: • Comfortable working at height and in deep excavations • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates Your main tasks: • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift • Read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
