Skimming plasterer • Cook County, Illinois

Join our team: we are hiring a skimming plasterer in Cook County, Illinois. You will be based on a busy domestic building site. Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of different plasters, renders and bonding agents • Own set of trowels, floats, hawk and buckets • Physically fit for lifting bags of plaster and mixing all day The role involves: • Patch and repair cracked, blown or hollow plaster • Mix gypsum plaster and cement render to a workable consistency • Dub out hollows and uneven areas before skimming • Float and rule off walls to a flat surface with a straightedge • Apply bonding and browning undercoats to brickwork and blockwork • Fix and set angle beads, stop beads and corner beads 1+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time with occasional weekends. We offer $200 per day plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
