Immediate opening: laundry presser (Pennsylvania)

Join our team: we are hiring a laundry presser in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. You will work in a busy laundry. Day to day you will shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press; spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts; hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing; use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics; clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents. You should have: • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine Six days a week, one day off.
