Join our team: we are hiring a rigging foreman in Aleutians East Borough, Alaska. You will work at a container port. What we are looking for: • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket Day to day you will set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads; check sling angles to stay within the working load limit; attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks; guide loads through tight openings into their final position; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight. $4,400 per month, negotiable for the right hands. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
