Urgent requirement: we are hiring a head butcher in Clayton County, Iowa. You will be based at a busy retail butcher's shop. Day to day you will sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date; break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts; stuff and link fresh sausages with casings; mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers • 2+ years experience working as a butcher Six days a week, one day off. Performance bonus on top of base pay.
