Great opportunity: we are hiring a press operator in York County, Virginia. The job is in a metal fabrication workshop. Requirements: • Basic understanding of metal grades and thicknesses • Attention to detail and steady hands for accurate loading • Knowledge of press safety, guarding and lockout-tagout The role involves punch, blank, pierce, bend and form sheet metal components; load metal sheets, blanks and coils onto the press bed; clear scrap and offcuts from the die area; deburr and stack finished components for the next operation; record output and downtime on the production sheet. 6+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Pay around $10,000 per project, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
