Gas meter installer — Orleans County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a gas meter installer in Orleans County, New York. Requirements: • Valid gas fitter's licence and Gas Safe (or local) registration • 2+ years' experience on domestic and commercial gas installations • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces Your main tasks: • Purge air from the lines and commission appliances to the correct gas rate • Braze copper gas lines and weld carbon-steel pipe joints • Check every joint for leaks with soapy water and leak-detection spray • Test combustion and flue gases with a flue gas analyser 1+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. Overtime paid at a premium rate. $23 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
