Panel welder — Cherokee County

Now hiring: we are hiring a panel welder in Cherokee County, Iowa. You will work at a pipe and tank fabrication yard. On a typical shift you will clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead; check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions; strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc; set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness. Requirements: • ITI in welder trade or equivalent • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • Willing to work shifts and overtime A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew.
