Now hiring: we are hiring a machinist in Barren County, Kentucky. Ideal candidate: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance On the job you will handle: • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
