Now hiring: we are hiring a trainee butcher in Twin Falls County, Idaho. You will be based in a hotel or restaurant butchery. Requirements: • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers The role involves: • Season and marinate meat on request • Weigh, price and label cuts for the display case • Take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking • Break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder Rotating shifts.
