Die-casting operator — Jackson County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a die-casting operator in Jackson County, Illinois. The job is in the melting bay of a steel foundry. The role involves: • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture What we are looking for: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
