Formwork carpenter — Tippah County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a formwork carpenter in Tippah County, Mississippi. The job is on a commercial fit-out site. Day to day you will measure and mark out timber using a tape, square and marking gauge; cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet; finish surfaces with varnish, wax, lacquer or wood stain; plane and sand timber to a smooth, square finish; glue, clamp, screw and dowel joints together; cut sheet material and timber with a circular saw, jigsaw and table saw. Requirements: • NVQ Level 2/3 in Carpentry and Joinery or equivalent • Accurate to fine tolerances on finish work Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Pay around $4,100 per month, based on your experience. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Part-time with flexible hours. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
