We are recruiting: we are hiring a port container crane operator in Wilson County, Texas. Ideal candidate: • Strong attention to safety and load limits • Understanding of hand and radio signals • Valid crane operator licence or certificate (CPCS, NPORS or local equivalent) Your main tasks: • Park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift • Climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins • Keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL) • Help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone • Work out the load weight and the lifting radius • Grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
