Argon welder — Thomas County

Vacancy available: we are hiring an argon welder in Thomas County, Kansas. On a typical shift you will set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; carry out 6G pipe welds where required; select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job; read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints. Requirements: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
