Join our team: we are hiring a retail butcher in Stanton County, Kansas. You will work at a halal meat counter. On the job you will handle: • Break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone • Season and marinate meat on request • Debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife You should have: • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required Part-time with flexible hours. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. $23 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
