Immediate opening: we are hiring a foundry worker in Bradford County, Florida. You will work at a busy iron foundry. You should have: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings The role involves pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring.
