Groundskeeper — Kennebec County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a groundskeeper in Kennebec County, Maine. You will be based in a botanical garden. Day to day you will prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers; operate strimmers, leaf blowers and brush cutters; lay turf and oversow bare patches of lawn; check and adjust sprinkler timers and irrigation heads. You should have: • Understanding of pruning and watering schedules • Previous experience as a gardener or in grounds maintenance • Able to safely operate mowers, strimmers and hedge trimmers Rotating shifts.
