Brick and block layer — Ontonagon County

Now hiring: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Ontonagon County, Michigan. Your main tasks: • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools 4+ years on the tools preferred. Meals and transport allowance provided. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
