The role involves check alignment with measuring gauges after a structural pull; feather-edge old paint and prime bare metal before respray; MIG-weld and spot-weld new panels into place; shrink stretched and oil-canned metal with a shrinking hammer; straighten chassis and frames on a jig bench with pulling chains; measure and set panel gaps for an even shut line. Requirements: • Steady hand for filler work and block sanding • Confident reading insurance estimates and damage reports • Able to set up and use a frame/jig straightening bench Overtime paid at a premium rate.
