What we are looking for: • Physically fit for bending, lifting and long hours outdoors • Happy to work outdoors in all weather Day-to-day duties: • Spray pesticides and fungicides to control pests and disease • Maintain compost heaps and the potting shed • Prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers • Repot nursery stock and pot on cuttings • Dig over and turn the soil and prepare seedbeds • Sharpen, clean and oil hand tools and mower blades Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
