Bar bender and fixer — Eastern Obolo

Immediate opening: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in Eastern Obolo, Akwa Ibom State. The job is at a rebar fabrication workshop. On a typical shift you will lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman; tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers; keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust; set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift; fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings; form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions. Requirements: • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
