TIG welder — Hanover County

Now hiring: we are hiring a TIG welder in Hanover County, Virginia. The job is at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. Day to day you will back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer. Ideal candidate: • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work Part-time with flexible hours. Meals and transport allowance provided. $4,600 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
