Now hiring: we are hiring a bulldozer operator in Wyoming County, New York. The job is on a road construction project. Day to day you will carry out pre-start checks on tracks, hydraulics, coolant and engine oil; strip topsoil and stockpile it for later reuse; spread imported fill in even layers ready for compaction; clear land of trees, stumps and debris before earthworks begin; cut and fill ground to the levels marked on the grade stakes. You should have: • Able to read grade stakes, drawings and site levels • Valid heavy equipment or plant operator licence Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
