Argon welder wanted in Athens County

Join our team: we are hiring an argon welder in Athens County, Ohio. The role involves clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); carry out 6G pipe welds where required. Ideal candidate: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight Overtime paid at a premium rate.
