Pressman — Alachua County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a pressman in Alachua County, Florida. You will be based in a garment export house. Day-to-day duties: • Give each garment a final press before packing • Hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching You should have: • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets Full-time with occasional weekends.
