Join our team: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Lawrence County, Ohio. You will be based in the melting bay of a steel foundry. What we are looking for: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling On the job you will handle: • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings 4+ years on the tools preferred.
