Pipe TIG welder — Knox County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a pipe TIG welder in Knox County, Tennessee. The job is at a busy fabrication workshop. You will inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination 1+ years on the tools preferred.
