Urgent requirement: we are hiring a rebar fixer in Nottingham, England. You will work at a rebar fabrication workshop. Requirements: • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites Your main tasks: • Assemble column and beam cages on the bench • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors 2+ years on the tools preferred.
