Furnace operator • Delaware County, Iowa

We are recruiting: we are hiring a furnace operator in Delaware County, Iowa. You will be based in a non-ferrous casting shop. The role involves cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles. What we are looking for: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. We offer $170 per day plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
