Vacancy available: we are hiring an overhead (EOT) crane operator in Dukes County, Massachusetts. You will work on a high-rise tower crane. Ideal candidate: • Valid crane operator licence or certificate (CPCS, NPORS or local equivalent) • Able to read load charts and lifting plans • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging On a typical shift you will help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone; hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control; work out the load weight and the lifting radius; fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure; keep a safe distance from overhead power lines; carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block. 2+ years on the tools preferred.
