You should have: • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings Day-to-day duties: • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Meet the daily piece target without damaging garments • Sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number • Give each garment a final press before packing • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
