Retail butcher — Roanoke County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a retail butcher in Roanoke County, Virginia. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers • 2+ years experience working as a butcher Your main tasks: • Break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts • Stuff and link fresh sausages with casings • Take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools • Season and marinate meat on request 2+ years on the tools preferred.
