Immediate opening: sample machinist (Missouri)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a sample machinist in Howell County, Missouri. The job is in a small denim manufacturing unit. Requirements: • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams Day to day you will clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes. Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. $3,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Full-time with occasional weekends.
