Vacancy available: we are hiring a stamping press operator in Ketchikan Gateway Borough, Alaska. The job is at an auto components factory. Day to day you will carry out first-off inspection and report rejects to the supervisor; top up the press hydraulic oil and grease the slide ways; watch for cracks, burrs, wrinkles and double-hits on parts; check stamped parts against drawings using vernier calipers and gauges. What we are looking for: • Can use vernier calipers, micrometers and go/no-go gauges • Willing to work rotating day and night shifts • Attention to detail and steady hands for accurate loading 6+ years on the tools preferred.
