Fettler — Davis County

Now hiring: we are hiring a fettler in Davis County, Utah. You will be based at a brass and bronze foundry. Ideal candidate: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry You will melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle.
