Restoration bricklayer • Hemphill County, Texas

Join our team: we are hiring a restoration bricklayer in Hemphill County, Texas. The job is at a renovation and extension job. On the job you will handle: • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day Part-time with flexible hours.
