Rigging foreman — Guthrie County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a rigging foreman in Guthrie County, Iowa. You will be based in a steel fabrication yard. On a typical shift you will set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists. Requirements: • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness $3,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
