Brick and block layer — Missaukee County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Missaukee County, Michigan. You will work on a scaffolded high-rise site. Day-to-day duties: • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses You should have: • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
