Urgent requirement: pressman (Iowa)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a pressman in Allamakee County, Iowa. The job is in a garment export house. On a typical shift you will keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts; meet the daily piece target without damaging garments; check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots. Requirements: • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep 5+ years on the tools preferred.
