Great opportunity: VMC operator (Kansas)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a VMC operator in Nemaha County, Kansas. You will work at a busy machine shop. On the job you will handle: • Select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors • Measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges • Apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed • Hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm • Keep in-process inspection records and log production counts • Set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter Requirements: • ITI/NCVT certificate in machinist or turner trade • Physically fit to stand and lift workpieces • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges Six days a week, one day off.
