Now hiring: we are hiring a rigger in Ikara, Kaduna State. You will work on an offshore oil and gas platform. Requirements: • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles On a typical shift you will guide loads through tight openings into their final position; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings; read lift plans and method statements before starting; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle.
