Machinist — McDowell County

Join our team: we are hiring a machinist in McDowell County, North Carolina. You will be based at a busy garment factory. On the job you will handle: • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet What we are looking for: • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus At least 6 year(s) in a similar role. $30 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
